Getting Started
Do I need experience to join a class?
No prior experience is necessary. We offer classes for all levels, including complete beginners. Our instructors provide modifications and guidance to ensure everyone can participate safely and comfortably. Many of our students started with zero yoga experience.
Starting from scratch is actually an advantage in some ways. You build habits correctly from the beginning, and many students report noticeable differences in sleep quality, stress levels, and flexibility within the first few weeks of regular practice.
What should I bring to my first class?
We provide yoga mats and props, but you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. We recommend bringing a water bottle, a small towel, and comfortable clothing that allows movement.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move freely. Fitted clothing is recommended so the instructor can see your alignment. Yoga is practiced barefoot. Avoid heavy jewelry or accessories.
How early should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before class starts. This gives you time to check in, settle your belongings, set up your mat, and transition into a calm mindset. First-time visitors should arrive 15 minutes early.
Can I eat before class?
It is best to practice on a relatively empty stomach. We recommend not eating a full meal within 2-3 hours before class. A light snack 1-2 hours before is fine if you need energy. Stay well hydrated throughout the day.
Classes and Schedules
What types of classes do you offer?
We offer Hatha Yoga (foundational, gentle practice), Vinyasa Flow (dynamic, breath-synchronized movement), Yin Yoga (deep stretching, meditative), Power Yoga (challenging, strength-building), Restorative (deeply relaxing, prop-supported), and Meditation (guided mindfulness sessions).
In practical terms: Hatha and Yin are excellent for back pain, mobility, and stress relief. Vinyasa and Power are better for cardiovascular fitness and strength. Restorative is specifically designed to support sleep and nervous system recovery. Meditation builds the mental clarity and focus that carries into everyday life.
How long are your classes?
Class durations vary by type: Meditation sessions are 30 minutes, Hatha and Yin are typically 60 minutes, and Vinyasa and Restorative classes run 75 minutes. Check the schedule for specific class durations.
How do I know which class level is right for me?
Beginner classes are for those new to yoga or returning after a break. All Levels classes are suitable for everyone with modifications offered. Intermediate classes are for those comfortable with basic poses. We recommend starting with All Levels or Beginner classes.
If your primary goal is stress relief or better sleep, the level matters less than consistency -- Beginner and All Levels classes deliver the same nervous system benefits as any other format. If improving strength and flexibility faster is the goal, starting with Beginner and graduating to Vinyasa over a few months tends to produce the quickest measurable gains.
Do you offer private sessions?
Yes, we offer one-on-one private sessions with our experienced instructors. Private sessions are the most direct route to specific outcomes: if you are managing an injury or chronic pain, returning to movement after a long break, or simply want to accelerate results, a few private sessions will progress you faster than months of group classes alone. Sessions are adapted entirely to your body and goals.
Can I attend multiple class types?
Absolutely. We actively encourage combining styles, because different formats target different outcomes. Pairing a weekly Vinyasa class with a Sunday Restorative session, for example, builds strength and flexibility while also addressing sleep and stress recovery. Students who mix styles tend to see broader benefits and are less likely to drop off after the initial motivation fades. The variety keeps it sustainable.

Health and Safety
Can I practice yoga if I have an injury or health condition?
In many cases, yes. Please inform your instructor before class about any injuries or conditions. For specific medical conditions, we recommend getting clearance from your doctor.
Yoga has a strong record of supporting recovery from common conditions like lower back pain, hip issues, and stress-related tension. When your instructor knows what you are working with, they can offer modifications that keep you safe and make each session genuinely therapeutic. For anything complex -- post-surgery, chronic conditions, significant joint issues -- private sessions are the right starting point, as they allow us to design a programme specifically for your situation.
Is yoga safe during pregnancy?
Yoga can be beneficial during pregnancy with proper guidance. Always consult your healthcare provider first. Inform your instructor of your pregnancy so they can offer appropriate modifications. We can recommend prenatal-specific practices.
What if I cannot do a pose?
Every body is different, and there is no such thing as a perfect pose. Modifications are always available. Your instructor will help you find alternatives that work for your body. Yoga is about your personal practice, not perfection.
Do you provide props and equipment?
Yes, we provide yoga mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets. All props are cleaned regularly. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
